While I haven't had it that long and I certainly haven't done Skallagrim-brutal-type tests with it, I have to say I'm quite impressed so far. The quality is right up there with what you'd expect at this price point and the edge is well-honed. Weight-wise, it's very well-balanced. In fact, I actually find it less wieldy (for lack of a better term) as I reach further out with it. The detailing is incredibly minimalistic so, you're not getting something with intricate scrollwork, etc. HOWEVER, there are several edges/sides (the pommel being absolutely awesome here) that are ideal for engraving work. So, if you want a family logo, etc. on the sword for personality, it's not difficult to do. On the downside, I'm a shorter guy and I find this one just slightly too long if I wear it with a frog on a belt; it touches the ground periodically while I move about. However, I suppose if you use a baldric, this wouldn't be an issue. This one really only loses points for the slightly low-end handle material. It feels like PU leather that's glued in place and not super reliable over time. Guess we'll see. Overall, though, very happy with it so far and Blades' shipping was superb.
