Ostap Hel designs can be a little polarizing. But his practical approach to what is best described as a folding santoku is something I've been waiting for for years. If you are a backcountry gourmet with mad culinary knife skills, this is the blade for you! Out-of-box, it is chef-ready, with an edge sufficient for doing the same kind of tasks for which you'd use your regular kitchen santoku. Thoughtful texturing of the G10 aids a pinch grip nicely, and it's easily pocketable with its surprisingly light weight for such a big knife, with a minimalist wire clip par excellence! Nice!
