I purchased this beautiful Bowie about 6 months ago and it is truly a "Looker". It was razor-sharp out of the box and the Walnut handle is a thing of beauty and it feels wonderful in the hand. This is a very powerful, sharp blade that would serve you well in many extreme situations or simply to admire as a collector Knife. It is truly a unique piece and is of very good quality and truly beautiful.
The only complaint that I have is in the Sheath. I could barely get it in and out of the sheath when I first got it and you could actually hear it cutting on the inside of the sheath, so you had to baby it to get it in, which is not easy and I feared tearing the sheath open or cutting myself if it did cut through. I've tried many things to try to stretch the sheath and I had a little success, but it is still too narrow and will never fit properly, which would cause me to never use it in the field, which is a shame for such a gorgeous well-made knife that is so capable. It will still remain a valued knife in my collection for life, but the ill-fitting sheath has put a damper on how much I truly love this knife.
