What is your store contact information?
You can reach us by email at info@bladescanada.com, or by phone at 604-875-1867 from 8:00am-4:30pm, seven days a week. Please note email responses may take up to 2 business days.

 ORDERS

How long until I receive my order?
Orders are typically shipped out with Canada Post 1 – 2 business days after the initial purchase. Please see our Shipping and Returns page for approximate shipping times.

Why is my order on hold?
Should an issue arise while processing your order, we will send you an email with relevant information. Make sure you check your inbox and junk mail folders for this email. Either send us a reply or call us at 604-875-1867 to fix the issue. Examples include a declined credit card, incorrect address entry, clarification on a comment left, etc. If we do not receive your reply within 6 days, we reserve the right to cancel the order. If you have been charged, the entire amount will be refunded through the original form of payment.

Please note that credit cards not processed via PayPal will be charged within 1 business day, not at the time of order . If there is an issue with the payment we will contact you via email.

Can I ship to a different address if this is my first order?
Customers paying by credit card may only ship to their billing address for the first three orders. If you would like to ship elsewhere, we suggest checking out with PayPal, which will allow you to set an alternate preferred shipping address. See Shipping and Returns for more information.

How do I make changes or cancel an item in my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible If you would like to make any changes to your order. Once an order is packed, we are unable to make any modifications and it will be considered a regular return. Please contact us once you receive your package to initiate the return process.

When will I receive a tracking email?
Tracking emails are automatically sent to the email address in your order once Canada Post has picked it up from our warehouse.

Do you offer Free Shipping/Discount Codes?
We offer free shipping on select items rather than at a specific dollar value. These items are noted with a red “FREE SHIPPING” note on the product page, this will be applied to your entire order (certain exclusions apply).
We are not offering discount/promo codes at the moment. Please check out our Specials for discounted items.

Do you ship outside of Canada and the U.S.A?
At this time, we do not ship outside of Canada and the USA. There are no exceptions for this policy.

Are there any Canada Customs duties that I need to pay when ordering from Blades Canada if I live in Canada?
No. Every item is shipped out of our main facility in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Please note that applicable shipping and your provincial sales taxes still apply. There are no Canadian sales taxes charged for orders to the USA. USA Duty and domestic taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer.

 RETURN/EXCHANGE & WARRANTY

What is your return/exchange policy?
We accept returns or exchanges of unused items and packaging in original condition within 14 days of receiving the order. Please reach out to us at info@bladescanada.com to request a Return Merchant Authorization (RMA) code. If you would like to return your knife because of damage/defects, please include pictures in your initial email so we can determine if it is a warranty issue.

Once you receive the RMA, send the knife and a copy of the invoice or a short note with your name, order number, and RMA. We will then contact you to confirm once it arrives at our facility to process an exchange or refund the cost of the item and applicable taxes.

Please note: The original shipping charge will not be refunded. “Free shipping” items also have a small fee if returned, which will be deducted from your total refund.

How are warranty issues handled?
See our Shipping and Returns page for information about warranty claims. Warranty claims must always be handled by the manufacturer directly.

 PRODUCT INFORMATION

Do you price match?
Price matching is only considered for reputable and recognized Canadian retailers on a case-by-case basis. All comparisons must be for the exact same SKU, must be in stock, and excludes clear out or special promotions. We do not match stores in the United States or third-party sellers. Please email us with a link to the product you are looking to have priced match when inquiring.

Price matching may only be considered before an order is placed.

Do you have a price guarantee?
We do not offer a price guarantee. Items can go on sale with further price reduction without notice.

Do you accept special orders?
We are not able to accept special orders at this time.

Do you really carry everything that you show on your website in stock?
Yes. Items that are out of stock are marked as "Sold Out." Every item on our website is a part of our inventory and all orders ship out within 1-2 business days as long as there is no problem with the transaction. While we do our best to keep product information, pictures, descriptions, and inventory levels up to date, there may be errors. If you find an error, let us know and we will correct it right away.

An item I want is out of stock, when will it be restocked?
We recommend signing up for Back in Stock Notifications to be notified as soon as an out-of-stock product is back in stock!  Back In Stock Notifications are found on each item’s page.

Why does the box look like it was opened?
There are several reasons that a product may look opened. Canada Border Services Agency may open boxes for inspection. In addition, we open the majority of products to check them for major issues such as rust, large chips, or broken pieces. We complement, but do not replace, the manufacturer’s quality control process. Many manufacturers over-tighten pivot screws when they ship to Canada - we may adjust that as well.

All items sold online are brand new from the factory unless otherwise indicated.

Do you sell Butterfly knives?
We do not sell butterfly knives, push daggers, brass knuckles or switchblades. All of these items are prohibited under Canadian law.

What is the maximum blades size one is allowed to carry in Canada?
There is no specific blade size restriction for carry in Canadian law. However, the larger the size of the blade, the more difficult it would be to identify it as a tool for everyday use. For example; if you are hunting, then a large fixed blade knife on your side is generally acceptable. However, carrying the same large fixed blade knife on your side while walking downtown in a major city would be a different matter. If you have specific questions, please contact your local law enforcement agency.

What are the legalities of owning swords or knives in Canada?
Knives are classified as either tools, or prohibited by design, the latter of which would include, but is not limited to: butterfly knives (balisongs), switch blades/automatic opening knives, push/punch daggers, and knives with ‘brass knuckles. If a knife is not prohibited by design, then the same rules apply to it as do to hammers, axes, screw drivers and so on. It is perfectly legal to own knives and swords that are not prohibited by design in Canada, so long as your purpose for purchasing and/or carrying it is to use it as a tool.  Remember, Canadian law does not allow you to carry a knife for the purpose of "self-defense". Carrying a knife for the purpose of "self-defense" would identify your knife as a weapon, which is not permitted.  Some places that do not allow you to carry a knife at all for any reason are airports, court rooms and some other government buildings, as well as businesses that serve alcohol.
