I use this machete for chopping small trees and other brush etc at work. So far, I am very impressed with it. I have put a razor edge on it with my Spyderco Sharpmaker and it holds the edge very well. It will easily chop through small pine trees up to 2 inches in diameter in one stroke. (Well, easily but not without some effort.) It is nicely compact and easy to carry with me in helicopters while working out in remote areas. 550 paracord will fit through the lanyard hole nicely with no problem. Be aware that the black coating on the blade will wear off with vigorous use, but I expected this and it doesn't bother me.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with this little chopper. The Kukri design lives up to it's reputation. It chops as good as a light hatchet but can double as a large survival knife if needed. The 1085 carbon steel is easy to sharpen and holds it's edge nicely.
