Shipping & Returns
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CANADA POST LABOUR DISRUPTION

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has issued 72 hour strike notice this morning. Effective immediately we will no longer be processing parcels via Canada Post, all parcels processed today forward will be sent via courier (Purolator, UPS or FedEx). If you place an order with only a PO Box address we will hold the order until the strike situation is resolved. These customers will be notified by email. Delivery addresses with both a PO Box and a street address will be sent to the street address.
We will continue to accept and ship orders and will update this page as more information becomes available.

*Please note that we reserve the right to correct any errors on our web site without notice. If it concerns an existing order, we will contact you before proceeding with the order.
SHIPPING
If you are placing an order for the first time, your first three credit card orders must ship to the card's billing address or for PayPal orders, to the indicated PayPal shipping address. This is for our mutual security and to ensure orders are sent to the correct address. After three successful orders, you can request that your orders be shipped to an alternate address by adding a separate shipping address to your order during checkout.
In all cases, if we identify a problem with the address information you will be contacted by email or phone before any items are shipped. To avoid delays, be sure to enter all the address information correctly when placing an order, including card holder's name exactly as it appears on the credit card.
As an alternative, we do accept Money Orders issued by Canada Post as a form of payment which does not require any address verification. If this option is selected the order will be placed on a temporary hold until the money order arrives, at which time the order will ship to the desired address. Please note we cannot be responsible for typographical errors or undelivered packages due to incorrect address information. Money Order must be made payable to 'Blades Canada Cutlery Corp'.
*If you are a first-time customer and would like to ship somewhere other than the billing address, the only option is PayPal or Canada Post Money Order. We do not make exceptions at this time. Orders of $1500 or more must be paid through PayPal only, as credit card will not be accepted at this value.
All shipments are sent DO NOT SAFE DROP or with SIGNATURE. Orders over $800 may be sent directly to a local post office for pickup (HOLD FOR PICKUP). If you request safe drop parcel, your order will be placed on hold and an email will be sent to you with our policies regarding this matter.

SHIPPING TIMES
All prices, taxes and shipping charges are noted during the checkout process of the shopping cart. All orders are shipped via Canada Post. Shipping times depend on the destination and can range for rural areas. Tracking information is sent automatically to your email address when the order is picked up from our warehouse. Some shipments may require a signature upon arrival.
U.S. orders are shipped via Canada Post which gets taken over by USPS once it crosses the border, usually within one to two business days. You will receive an email from Canada Post with the tracking number which you can also use on the USPS web site once the package has entered the U.S.
APPROXIMATE DELIVERY TIMES
See below for approximate delivery times only; rural area may take longer than estimations. You will receive an automated email with tracking information when your order is picked up from our warehouse. We cannot guarantee delivery times and are not responsible for delayed shipping times.
British Columbia (Lower Mainland): 1-2 business days)
British Columbia (Regional): 2-5 business days
Alberta: 3-5 business days
Saskatchewan & Manitoba: 2-5 business days
Ontario & Quebec: 3-7 business days
Maritime Provinces: 4-11 business days
Yukon & Territories: 4-13 business days
United States: 4-10* business days. Customs delays may occur.
RETURNS
Online: Items purchase online may be returned for either an exchange or for full refund, minus any shipping charge. The returned product must be unused and in the original packaging and condition within 14 days of receiving the parcel. Returned items will not be accepted by Blades Canada without a Return Authorization. Please send an email or phone us with your concerns prior to returning your goods. Refunds will be issued through original form of payment only, with the exception of money orders which will be issued as store credit.

US Orders Only:
Due to current border restrictions of the import of folding knives to Canada from the USA, all US orders will be sold as final sale, as we cannot accept returns cross-border. If you place an order to the US, you will be sent an email to confirm and accept this policy before we proceed with your order.
Exclusions: The following items are sold as finale sale: Consumable Products (Batteries, Oils, Pastes etc.), Zippo Lighters with a broken seal, Smoking Pipes, Grooming Products (Combs, Nail Clippers, Shaving Cream, Razors etc.). Folding knives that have been disassembled, modified, sharpened or used may not be returned. Any warranty issue must go through the manufacturer.
Shipping costs are always the customers’ responsibility, the only exception being if we sent you an incorrect item. While we try very hard to make sure all orders are sent out correct and in a timely manner, mistakes do happen and sometimes the wrong item gets shipped. If there was a mistake in your order, contact us right away by phone or email and we will work with you to correct the mistake, which may involve getting the incorrect item sent back (in which case a Canada Post return label will provided for you by our staff.) Please do not send back any item before contacting us first.
WARRANTY
All warranty issues have to go through the manufacturer regardless of the brand (please note that blade centering on folding knives is not considered a defect.) Many manufacturers will void warranty if an item has been disassembled. Please contact the manufacturer directly prior to attempting self-repair to avoid this.
If you believe there is a problem that might be a warranty issue, feel free to contact us and we will give you the manufacturer's direct contact information.
Please note that products from the following manufacturers do not have a manufacturer warranty outside of 14 days return/exchange period:

Important note regarding Warranty:
Most manufacturers do not have warranty service centers in Canada. An item requiring warranty service often needs to be sent to a warranty center in another country (usually the USA). Due to current CBSA restrictions regarding the import of folding knives into Canada, there is a possibility that some folding knives sent out-of-country for warranty will be seized/rejected at the border when being sent back to you. Please consider this carefully when making your purchasing decision and contact manufacturers directly prior to purchase or sending your items anything cross border.
