It cuts apple branches like butter & leaves the absolute cleanest edges possible. This straight blade is easier to maneuver inside fruit trees & large shrubs than a curved blade. It doesn't "catch" (or accidentally damage) interior branches as often as a curved blade. It cuts a little slower than Silky's comparable curved version, but overall, it's a better choice for orchard work than the curved one. This 300mm,fine tooth, straight version is the only one I buy, anymore. I have approx 60 semi-dwarf apple trees & this saw handles everything except chainsaw & pole work. It's extremely precise, neat, fast & very,very easy on my aging (female!) wrists. ****Blades Canada just shipped this saw to me in Ontario in a few days for under $13 CAD. (This was my first purchase from them.) I'm impressed & this is now my go-to source.***
