Had to re-write my review, this product only extended out properly one time & that was it, the very top part is permanently jammed in place & the middle piece will not deploy out anymore as it should. It is now a loose middle piece that cannot stay in place. The middle piece collapses down when I swing the baton with some practice motions.

I thought I was going to have a secure baton to own, but I guess the product I have won't be useful for self defense for when the time may possibly come. It only worked well once & it doesn't seem to function the way it should the 2nd time I had done practice swings.
