Elegant and simple. The all-metal Side Click is incredibly satisfying in both feel and sound and durable to withstand a lifetime of use.

Tactile Turn pens are known for their CNC precision machined texture. It’s where our name comes from. The tactile feeling allows you to control the pen exactly the way you want. It won’t bite into your skin but provides just the right amount of grip. It’s subtle, but the textured surface disguises and protects the pens from light scratches much better than a smooth surface.

Click pens are a common staple but the issue is that all mechanisms are not created equally. Some are better than others and some are MUCH better than others. Our first click pens used an off-the-shelf mechanism and it wasn’t as durable as we wanted. We then made a mechanism that was much more durable, but it left us wanting a better feel because it had no satisfying sound or actual *click* to the action.

The new Side Click has the best action of any click mechanism I have ever felt. Not only the feel, but also the sound it creates is reassuring and firm. Tactile Turn has always been dedicated to the tactile sensations that are a part of the writing experience. It started with our texture, but it is also a part of every design choice we make on a pen.

Copper has natural antimicrobial properties and, because we don't coat any of our pens, they will patina and darken with time and use. Like many customers, we love a good patina.

The Pilot G2 Mini is about 0.7” shorter than the Parker style refills and is still about 0.2" too short for the Fisher Space Pen refill without the adapter on the back. They are not sold separately by Pilot, but have to be taken from inexpensive complete disposable pens. It’s an oddball of a refill and about the only alternative cartridge that works is getting a 3D printed adapter that allows you to use D1 refills.
