This is the absolute best Rambo style survival production knife that is offered to date! I had seen this knife being offered when it first came out but with it being the typical United Cutlery knife and not an actual Gil Hibben made knife I thought that the quality of it will be just as poorly done as most other Rambo knife copies are.But I kept seeing this knife being offered, and when I heard froma reliable source that Mr. Hibben now oversees the starting quality of some of his most cherished designs before he will endorse UC to produce them and sell them, I knew beyond a doubt that buying this awesome made knife would be similar to buying a highest quality handmade one by him. That and the fact this knife is made with the awesome AUS 6 steel rather than the crappy 420J2 steel that most of the other Rambo knives are made with. And especially since I had bought the Hibben Damascus karate Fighter knife and seeing its high end quality, with the same story behind it of Mr. Hibben's personal involvement with its quality. Al of this got me curious so I bought a Survivor knife finally. And wow!! Was I ever glad I did. The high quality of this massive and awesome knife sure has the definite Hibben touch on it. From the moment I unpacked it and held it for the first time I knew that it was made with outstanding quality in mind. I believe it to be even better than the old Buckmaster 184 by Buck Knives, that has been long discontinued but is offered on Ebay at times by Sellers. I love the Survivor knife aka GH5026 so much that I decided to buy 2 more and just keep them in their boxes untouched, un-used, and with the prediction that in years to come when they have been discontinued, like the Buckmaster and the Gerber BMF knife, they will be highly sought after by Collectors and those collectors will be offering top notch prices for them, especially for the unused and brand new ones. But I bought them Never to sell, but to keep put up and to cherish. I am even seriously considering and planning on getting yet another one or two. I just absolutely love the Hibben Survivor knife, and my Hibben III knife and Damascus Karate Fighter knife too for that matter. These three knives are extremely high quality made and very detailed, and I am very proud to own them, as well as other knives I own, some of them being handmade ones! Thanks, Mr. Gil Hibben, for continuing to keep the rambo Knives legacy alive with your wonderful designs and outstanding creations!
