Considering what is costs to things into Canada, I felt like this was a fair price for the knife. If you were to factor in shipping costs and potential duty fees having one of these shipped to you from the states, I can imagine paying about the same or more. I would much rather buy from a Canadian retailer anyway.

The knife itself far exceeds the quality expected for the price paid. Everything about the knife is flawless, from the blade grind to the fit and finish. Everything is perfect. This is the kind of quality you expect from a $600+ custom folder. The milled backspacers alone would be an expensive option on a custom knife and they are standard here. Full Ti hardware, Ti frame and ceramic bearing pivot and detent. The gold anodized hardware is a great detail. Blade perfectly centred out of the box and shaving sharp.Two tone finish with a beadblasted blade & polished spine means the knife won't show wear nearly as much as a straight satin blade. Aesthetics are a big plus for this knife, I wasn't a fan of WE's previous designs because they were too radical looking, this is a nice balance of form and style. If you look inside the frame you'll see a lot of very clean milling done to save weight which is necessary on a full titanium frame like this. The wharncliffe blade also lends itself to a type of modified sheepsfoot curvature. A very functional blade shape, a great slicer that still retains good piercing capabilities with a strong tip.

Excellent work from the folks over at WE, if they keep up this kind of quality and pricepoint a lot of North American custom makers are going to have to reevaluate their business structures!!
