Canada Post Strike

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CANADA POST LABOUR DISRUPTION

[November 12th, 2024]

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has issued 72 hour strike notice this morning. Effective immediately we will no longer be processing parcels via Canada Post, all parcels processed today forward will be sent via courier (Purolator, UPS or FedEx). If you place an order with only a PO Box address we will hold the order until the strike situation is resolved. These customers will be notified by email. Delivery addresses with both a PO Box and a street address will be sent to the street address.

[October 28th, 2024]

Canada Post and its employee union have been in contract negotiations for several months. As of today, an agreement has not been reached and there is the possibility of job action. If a work stoppage occurs, there may be interruptions in service ranging from localized events to a country-wide shutdown of operations.

In an effort to minimize disruptions to you, we will be preemptively shipping some parcels through Purolator or UPS. What this means for you:

  • Parcels shipping out beginning October 30th may be sent with one of these alternate carriers.
  • You will receive a tracking email from our fulfillment system indicating which courier was used and the tracking number for your parcel.
  • IMPORTANT: Orders placed with only a PO box address will continue to be shipped via Canada Post. If a full work stoppage takes place, these orders will be held and shipped once service resumes.
  • Delivery addresses with both a PO Box and a street address will be sent to the street address.
  • If you are returning an order, please consider using an alternate courier.

We will continue to accept and ship orders and will update this page as more information becomes available.

We are hoping that the two sides will come together to avoid a full work stoppage, so the country can go back to its business.
